Mother’s Day Poem

Mom in 1977

Mom in Bullhead, AZ, 1977.

In the simplest
words,

thank you.

I'm more alive than ever,
laughing and dreaming,

throwing sticks into bicycle spokes,
writing on the walls

(impeccably flawed),

and finding love,
losing it,

and finding it
again.
